Terms of Service
Effective May 7, 2026
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern any engagement of PJ Duffy Consulting ("the proprietor"), a sole proprietorship operated by Patrick Duffy in Illinois, United States, by any client ("the client").
Engagement
By engaging PJ Duffy Consulting, the client agrees to the scope, fees, and terms set forth in the written proposal for that engagement. Each engagement is governed by its own proposal in addition to these general Terms; if the two conflict, the proposal controls.
Deliverables & Warranty
Work product is delivered as described in the engagement proposal. The proprietor will perform services in a professional manner consistent with industry standards. No warranty is made beyond the deliverables explicitly listed in the proposal.
Intellectual Property
Each party retains ownership of its own pre-existing intellectual property. Ownership of work product created during an engagement is governed by the terms of that engagement's proposal.
Termination
Either party may terminate an engagement at any time with written notice. The client is responsible for payment for work completed through the date of termination, as further described in the Cancellation & Refund Policy on the consulting page.
Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, the proprietor's total liability arising from any engagement is limited to the fees paid by the client for that engagement.
Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Illinois, United States.
